The Role:
The main function of the role is to maintain all plumbing services and HVAC equipment at Old Trafford stadium, including gas burners related to all air handling units and domestic hot water services.

  • To assist and support the Building Systems Manager as required.
  • To maintain all water systems, waste and supply, throughout the Stadium and on other Company sites, and to ensure that the Company complies with the current Water Regulations.
  • To carry out both Planned Preventative Maintenance procedures and reactive general plumbing maintenance throughout the stadium and other Company sites.
  • To carry out small plumbing installation projects throughout the Stadium and at other Company sites.
  • To assist with the preparation of the stadium for match days and other events including general maintenance duties.
  • Maintaining stock levels (eg. copper pipe & fittings, waste pipe & fittings, bending valves, etc)
  • Assess & review mechanical plant operation looking specifically for energy savings potential.
  • Ensure that all work carried out complies with the Company policies and Health & Safety standards.
  • Ensure that records and work orders are completed for all tasks carried out.
  • The role will also include working alongside electrical engineers to assist with day-to-day maintenance of all plumbing and HVAC plant and equipment, including installations and small projects at Old Trafford.

The Person:

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety site procedures.
  • General appreciation of Plumbing and mechanical HVAC plant.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • An understanding of basic software packages.
  • Self-motivational skills, a good team player and working on their own initiative.
  • Gas Safe Commercial and Domestic Qualifications – desirable
