Every project you support will help shape the experience of more than 5,000 colleagues and contribute to our commitment to Transforming Lives Together.

What you’ll do

Working within the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team, you’ll provide high-quality project and administrative support across a varied portfolio of EDI programmes and initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, you’ll help bring our Equality Objectives to life through effective coordination, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of strategic EDI projects and programmes across the University.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and monitoring progress.
  • Coordinating meetings, events, staff network activities and engagement initiatives.
  • Diary management for the Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Supporting communications activity through digital channels, intranet content and internal campaigns.
  • Managing team administration, including diary management, procurement processes, event coordination and stakeholder communications.
  • Gathering feedback, analysing data and preparing reports that help inform future activity.
  • Building effective relationships with colleagues and external partners to support collaborative delivery of EDI priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to work that makes a tangible difference, helping to foster a culture where every colleague feels valued, respected and able to reach their full potential.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and managing varied administrative activities.
  • The ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • An interest in, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • A positive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

A degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial relevant experience, is essential.

Experience of project coordination and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups will help you succeed in this role.

What you’ll receive

At Manchester Met, you’ll join a diverse and inclusive community that values your contribution and supports your development.

You’ll benefit from:

  • A supportive, people-led culture.
  • Professional and career development opportunities.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements where appropriate.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement plus University closure days.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
  • Health, wellbeing and employee support services.
  • Staff networks, communities and opportunities to get involved across the University.
