The Opportunity

An exciting secondment has created a fantastic opportunity to join our high-performing national Learning & Development team on a 12-month fixed term basis. Our current Learning Solutions Designer has stepped up to lead the Learning Delivery team, and we’re now seeking someone to take on his core design role – either someone who already has experience in designing impactful learning content or someone with strong transferable skills who’s ready to build a career in this space.

This role sits at the centre of our L&D transformation journey – you’ll be shaping and delivering learning experiences that support our Manufacturing and Distribution teams in delivering operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

  • Works with the L&D Partner, Stakeholders and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create, co-create and curate learning solutions that enable the Manufacturing & Distribution plans
  • Designs creative and engaging digital learning content for online and blended delivery methods, meeting the learner and business needs. Ensures solutions are executed with excellence via Train the Trainer interventions.
  • Collaborates with Learning Delivery Specialists, Trainers and SME’s to apply principles and standards that underpin the design of quality learning solutions to maximise learning impact.
  • Project manages the design and development of learning solutions, working with key stakeholders and 3rd party providers to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met
  • Facilitates the review and evaluation of learning solutions to ensure outcomes are being achieved and to identify improved and innovative ways of designing content to maximise learning transfer
  • Designs communications and collateral that promotes the development of a learning culture within Operations.
  • Manages the governance of learning content and curriculums from Business areas with the Learning Management System
  • Takes responsibility for staying current in industry trends and learning technologies, sharing ideas and best practice to raise the design capability across the team

Essential Ingredients

As a Learning Solutions Designer, you will:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across Manufacturing, Distribution, Health & Safety, and Quality to design digital and blended learning solutions.
  • Translate business needs into high-quality, creative content for face-to-face, virtual, and self-led learning.
  • Work closely with the Learning Delivery team and external providers to bring content to life and ensure learning is impactful, accessible, and embedded.
  • Apply and champion learning design principles and methodologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage multiple design projects, meet deadlines, and evaluate success to inform continuous improvement.
