The Role
As a Technology Product Owner at MAG, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of our innovative technology solutions. You will be responsible for driving the development, optimisation, and delivery of cutting-edge products that align with the company’s overall product vision and business strategy, whilst supporting and enhancing collaboration amongst our colleagues. Your technical expertise and strategic mindset will ensure that products not only meet our colleague and customers needs but also maintain scalability, performance, and technical excellence. Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams, you will translate complex business requirements into clear technical requirements, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. By leveraging your deep understanding of technology and product, you will contribute to delivering world-class solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance the overall user experience. For this particular role, you’ll be the go-to and subject matter expert primarily for the Microsoft 365 product set but other products that support colleague collaboration such as productivity tools, whiteboarding and meeting management.  The key areas of focus will be:

•    Being responsible for assessing the main changes in M365 and its component products and understanding how adoption and rollout of new tools and features can be delivered.
•    Establish effective working relationships with SME’s in the Technology Operations teams and promote service innovation so that the component products (e.g. SharePoint, Exchange, etc.) are managed, service is not affected and improvements are made.
•    Lead on shaping communications and adoption engagement around M365 changes, projects, policies, training and recommended use within the organisation.
•    Create, own and run an M365 governance forum
•    Consolidate and promote other products that support colleague collaboration and productivity and manage the rollout and usage of these.

What will make you successful?
You’ll have at least 3 years’ experience of working with Microsoft 365 with an excellent knowledge and understanding of the platform and component applications from a technology perspective. You’ll be used to working in an Agile way and using data driven approaches to monitor product performance and optimise features to improve user experience and efficiency. You’ll have experience of aligning M365 products with IT architecture and strategy as well as being commercially astute and an effective communicator with a customer-centric mindset.  You will also have experience of blending technical products into an operational context and therefore an understanding of how people, process and technology align.
