The School of Social Sciences within The University of Manchester seeks an Administrator for a permanent, full-time post tenable from 1st November 2025. Salary range will be £28,031 – £31,236 depending on experience.

The appointed candidate will provide professional administrative support to students and academic staff, with a range of tasks related to operational processes, staff recruitment, finance, estates, compliance and health and safety provision in the School of Social Sciences.

The post holder will report directly to the School Operations Officer and will be part of a busy team ensuring the efficient running of School processes. The role requires collaboration and liaison with the School Operations Office, Heads of Departments, Head of School, Head & Deputy Heads of School Operations and the wider administrative support team in addition to liaising and corresponding with a wide range of external colleagues. The post holder must be able to demonstrate proven successful experience of administrative work, as well as excellent planning and organisational skills.
