Graduate Learning Mentor
Job Title: Graduate Learning Mentor
Area: Bolton
Start Date: February 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: £95 – £110 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 3.30pm

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school before progressing into teacher training, educational psychology, or youth work?
We’re working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Bolton that is committed to developing aspiring education professionals. The school offers a positive learning environment with strong pastoral support, excellent staff collaboration, and clear behaviour expectations.
This role is ideal for graduates seeking meaningful classroom experience while making a real impact on students’ academic progress and personal development.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the classroom
* Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
* Provide 1:1 and small group academic support
* Support students with varying learning needs and abilities
* Help maintain a positive and focused learning environment
* Gain valuable experience in behaviour management and lesson delivery
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree (2:1 or above preferred, all subjects considered)
* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, patient, and positive attitude
* Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service OR be willing to apply for a new one
* Provide two professional child-related references
