CONTRACT TYPE: x2 Fixed-term Contract / Attachment, Full-time (01 April 26 – 27 November 26 & 01 April 26 – 26 March 27)
DEPARTMENT: Children’s & Education
LOCATION: Salford – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,000 – £35,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Production Co-ordinator role will support the delivery of a portfolio of projects across the BBC Children’s & Education slate.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
As part of the Production Management team in BBC Children’s & Education you will work in partnership with our editorial colleagues to deliver high quality projects across the BBC Children’s & Education slate. You will work to a Production Manager and alongside a Production Management Assistant.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Supporting the Production Manager across a portfolio of projects.
- Supporting the editorial team through their commissioning processes and delivering campaigns.
- Raising payments promptly for our talent and freelancers.
- Compiling call sheets
- Raising PO’s and ensuring suppliers are paid promptly.
- Logistical support for various Educational events and conferences throughout the year to support Teacher Engagement
- Checking and approving post production paperwork in Silvermouse from Independent production companies for commissioned content
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experience and understanding of BBC Children’s and Education brands
- Experience of working across multiple productions and experience of Silvermouse and Post Production Paperwork
- Experience in event set up and logistics
- Experience with facilitating payments and ensuring accurate logging of costs.
- Experience of Health and Safety protocols in a production environment
