CONTRACT TYPE: 9 Month Full-time / Fixed-term.
DEPARTMENT: BBC Childrens & Education, CBeebies
LOCATION: Salford
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,000 – £39,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

JOB PURPOSE
Join the BBC Children’s & Education team as a Social Media Executive, helping to create social-first content and deliver creative excellence with a strategic vision. You’ll be managing content across multiple social media accounts to build awareness of CBeebies brands and CBeebies Parenting.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND IMPACT
- Manage campaigns to raise awareness of CBeebies brands and CBeebies Parenting
- Work with internal teams of projects and commissions to produce social-first content and edits
- Work with content creators and influencers to produce social-first content that resonates with our audience
- Use audience data and analytics to inform decision making and performance in line with KPIs
- Keep abreast of current trends and perform ongoing competitor analysis
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – KEY CRITERIA
Essential criteria:
- Experience managing branded social accounts is key – you’ll have in-depth understanding of social platforms and algorithms
- Proficient editing skills using Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
- An understanding of social analytics and how to use data to inform decision making
- The ability to work with wider teams to brief content, develop ideas and feed back on performance to stakeholders
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with influencers, content creators or production companies
- Experience in location-based production, and end to end content delivery with confident self-shooting skills
