The Role
As the Head of Systems Operations at MAG, you will form an integral part of the Technology function by developing, leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the airport’s information technology systems, to enable service excellence and support the achievement of MAG business objectives.
This includes overseeing the service operations, integrations and optimization of key systems such as SAP and other critical applications. Your responsibilities extend to Service Level Management, Stakeholder Management, Application Support, and Technology Service Management, ensuring the seamless operation of systems crucial to the safety, security, and efficiency of airport operations.
You will play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of subject matter experts, to provide clarity and direction on the strategy whilst working closely with Product teams on current system constraints and issues in order to feed into technical roadmaps and improvement initiatives.

 

What will make you successful in this role?
You’ll have proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within the aviation industry or a comparable complex operational environment, with expertise in Service Level Management, Stakeholder Management, Application Support and Technology Service Management. You’ll have a strong knowledge of airport operations, or similar large scale operational IT infrastructure and key systems such as SAP. You’ll have the ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget, with an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, SAP certifications would be desirable.
