The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Manchester Airport Safety Department on a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Fire Safety, the role will support the delivery of health and safety activities in line with MAG Health, Safety and Wellbeing Procedures, contributing to continuous improvement across Airside and Landside operations.
The successful candidate will lead safety initiatives, deliver improvement plans, and provide clear, timely guidance and advice to designated teams. The role also involves producing statistical analysis, reports and presentations, undertaking investigations where required, and supporting the lessons learned process.
What will make you successful in the role?
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 3), equivalent or working towards
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6) is desirable
- Investigation experience
- Strong communication, influencing and engagement skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the business
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong ability to analyse information and to determine effective solutions
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage demands
- Experience of developing accredited H&S Management/Quality systems
