The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Manchester Airport Safety Department. Manchester Airport is currently going through a transformation period, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Safety Business Partner. Reporting directly into the Head of Health, Safety and Fire Safety, working alongside Safety Business Partner Colleagues, you’ll to undertake core health and safety activities to support achieving the objectives of the MAG Health, Safety and Well-Being Procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of safety performance at Manchester Airport.

Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for leading initiatives and deliver improvement plans across the Manchester, supporting designated teams with clear, timely and decisive guidance advice, information and solutions to Health and Safety matters through an effective Business Partner service.  Where necessary, you’ll also undertake investigations initiating lessons learnt protocol if required.

What will make you successful in the role?

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Health & Safety professional in an operational environment with a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6), equivalent or working towards. You’ll be able to prepare statistical analysis, risk assessment, produce reports to demonstrate compliance and assurance, undertake and support the delivery of audits and inspections and developing accredited H&S Management/Quality systems.  You’ll also be an effective communicator and influencer as they you’ll be responsible for managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
