  • Permanent role based at any of our airport locations – Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the core and safety critical Electrical Infrastructure assets

The role:

As a Principle Electrical  Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the group-wide technical standards for critical low voltage electrical systems and infrastructure.

You will work with third party consultants and contractors to provide technical design assurance, commission studies and provide technical solutions that align with the business objectives and whole life cost optimisation.

You will also provide subject matter expertise and support to the asset maintenance and development teams across the airports, ensuring the asset base meets the key drivers of customer service, operating efficiency, health and safety, regulatory compliance, environmental sustainability, and asset reliability and availability.

You will also contribute to the development of a 25-year investment plan and a world class asset management approach for MAG.

What will make you successful in the role?

To be successful in the role, you will need to have a degree in a suitable technical discipline or equivalent experience, and preferably be a chartered engineer or working towards it. You will also need to have at least five years of experience in electrical infrastructure projects and be able to develop strategies that consider various factors and information sources.

You will be able to communicate and manage stakeholder relationships effectively at all levels in the organisation, and influence and negotiate on strategy and investment plans as necessary.
