  • Permanent, Full Time (5 in 3 off, either early or late shift)
  • £35,975.64 per annum inclsuive of 17.5% shift allowance

About the Role

As a Security Performance Improvement Lead (SPIL), you will be responsible for supporting the performance of passenger security operations. This is a critical role in ensuring the passenger security hall operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements and MAG standards.
This position focuses on driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service across all areas of passenger security operations.

 

This includes but is not limited to: 

 

  • Manage performance across security areas including front-of-house, matrix room and security lanes
  • Conduct equipment checks and monitor compliance and behaviours across Aviation Security Officers
  • Analyse data to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement across performance, SOP and equipment
  • Resolve escalated threat detection issues and respond to security breaches, incidents and emergencies, taking any necessary corrective action
  • Support people management processes, including return-to-work, absence, training, and compliance records
  • Support on all aspects of compliance audits, ensuring adherence to CAA regulations
  • Deputise for the Security Lane Performance Manager as requested
  • Promote and lead a strong heath & safety culture across security operations

 

What will make you successful?

The successful candidate will have proven experience in leading and managing teams in complex service delivery environments, as well as driving operational improvements and managing projects. They will have excellent communication skills across business areas and stakeholders with the ability to give clear direction to others. The ideal candidate will be a forward and analytical thinker, able to decipher events, analyse performance data, and report on investigations carried out in order to influence performance improvement projects.

 

Due to the nature of this role candidates must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years.
