Join us as a Health & Safety Technical Manager

 

  • We’re looking for someone that can demonstrate excellent communication skills with HR and employment law or health, safety and environment knowledge to take on a key advisory role
  • You’ll be providing expert advice and insights that’s tailored to the needs of the customer and compliant with current legislation
  • You’ll be joining a team with high standards and a passion for delivering excellent outcomes for our customers

 

What you’ll do

 

As a Health & Safety Technical Manager, you’ll be providing technical insights, development and advice to colleagues supporting with complex cases.

 

Throughout your role, you’ll be working with your colleagues to making sure that training and coaching is provided to improve the quality of technical knowledge.

 

You’ll also be:

 

  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation and content, making sure it complies with current legislation and regulation
  • Reviewing advice trends and working with business leads to implement any interventions
  • Developing and delivering technical updates, coaching and training to your colleagues
  • Maintaining and developing your own knowledge and expertise through external research, networking and training
  • Supporting your colleagues with their professional development and capability
  • Carrying out business control to ensure minimum quality standards are met across the Health and Safety community

 

The skills you’ll need

 

To join us in this role, you’ll need comprehensive experience and understanding of the relevant legal environment, regulation and codes of practice for HR and employment law or health, safety and environment best practice. Along with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you’ll have experience of developing and delivering appropriate training and coaching others.

 

Due to the nature of the role, it’s essential that you hold a professional qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental NVQ 4/5. NEBOSH Diploma or recognised degree equivalent with CMIOSH Chartered membership of IOSH as a minimum.

 

You’ll also bring:

 

  • Diverse sector and industry experience with attention to quality and service
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • The ability to identify complete root cause analysis and questioning to identify business needs, opportunities and solutions
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
