An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supervisor to work in Reception Services within Patient Access and Administration. With demand on our services at an all-time high, the role our department provides has never been more critical.

We have one position available to support the Quality and Performance Portfolio within Salford Reception Services which is full-time 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for supervising the Reception Services and supporting the team under the direction of the Northern Care Alliance (NCA) Patient Access & Administration Service (PAA).
The post holder will provide a comprehensive staff management service including rostering, workload planning, holiday and sickness management, personal development planning and staff induction.
The post holder will ensure all reception areas provide a high-quality service focused on customer service for each patient and the Trust’s clinical teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Education to GCSE level or equivalent including Mathematics and English
- Customer Service or Administration qualification or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Hold a diploma or be currently working towards a diploma in business administration, customer service or equivalent
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
- Supervisory experience of providing day-to-day supervision of a team of staff
- Experience of staff management including sickness absence management, restoring and appraisal/personal development
- Considerable experience in working in a Health Records role
- Knowledge of NHS referral, outpatient, diagnostic and inpatient services
- Able to recognise and resolve routine issues referring to a Team Leader/ Manager, where appropriate
- Knowledge of a hospital based Patient Administration System
Desirable
- Experience of service and individual performance tracking and management processes
- Experience of providing informal training and inductions within teams
- Understanding of change and project management processes
- Able to implement new ideas to benefit patients, staff and working environment
