You will support the Senior Financial Accountant in ensuring that financial control processes are relevant and appropriate and that the financial controls are fit for purpose and proportionate and cover the whole of the University.

You will support the Senior Financial Accountant in the delivery of support and technical accounting advice to professional finance staff across the University, along with provision of support across the wider University community in relation to general finance related queries.

You will assist the Senior Financial Accountant in the preparation and production of the University annual financial statements along with other external statutory returns, and for related audit planning and liaison.

You will act as the line manager for accounting trainees, apprentices and Future Leaders within the Financial Control team.

You will be expected to be customer focused and flexible in your approach.
