We are happy to consider flexible working options in line with the requirements of the role.

When you’re with us, you’re not only working for the University. You’re working for people in our local communities and beyond, who benefit from our teaching, research and social responsibility. Here, no matter what your role or responsibilities, everyone works together with one common goal.

The role is to support our postgraduate research admissions processes and ensure that our applicants and offer holders have an excellent experience and introduction to the University.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to be part of our admissions teams supporting our applicants and programme teams, working collaboratively in accordance with good customer care principles. Alongside processing applications and acting as a first point of contact for queries, you will also support open days and visit days (either on-campus or virtual), interviews and confirmation and clearing activities.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with administrative processes in a Higher Education customer facing office environment, preferably within PGR student administration. The role requires applicants who thrive in a busy team environment, who enjoy interacting and supporting a wide range of people and who are flexible and responsive to customer needs. Strong organisational and accuracy skills are essential alongside the ability to adapt to changing systems and platforms and work and communicate successfully across both face to face and virtual channels.

What you will get in return:

  • Fantastic market leading Pension scheme
  • Excellent employee health and wellbeing services including an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Exceptional starting annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays
  • Additional paid closure over the Christmas period
  • Local and national discounts at a range of major retailers
