Location: Salford (Hybrid)
Salary: £40,200 – £49,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As the BBC’s formal learning website, Bitesize helps millions of students to progress their education.
As part of the Education Product Development team, you will work closely with colleagues in Product Group and teams across the nations, supporting the future development of BBC Education’s digital platforms.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Lead a team of Assistant Producers and Researchers working across BBC Education products
- Play a key role in evolving Bitesize, working with Product Group, introducing increased interactivity, personalisation and user progression
- Use audience insight, metrics and data to inform editorial and product decisions
- Manage multiple projects to schedule and budget, ensuring delivery against priorities
- Oversee editorial compliance and ensure high editorial standards across content
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Stakeholder management: Ability to manage relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and partners
- Editorial leadership: Strong editorial judgement with experience managing compliance processes and maintaining high-quality standards in digital content
- Project management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and budgets effectively
- Audience insight: Experience using audience data, metrics and research to inform strategic and editorial decisions
- Education knowledge: Strong understanding of UK curricula and the needs of students, teachers and parents
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Digital production: Experience creating digital learning content, including interactive features and educational resources
- Technology awareness: Knowledge of how search engines, AI and evolving technologies are changing audience behaviour and content discovery
- People management: Experience leading teams, developing colleagues and working collaboratively across departments
- Growth focus: Experience delivering audience growth and maximising reach in a competitive digital marketplace
