What you’ll do

  • Lead a new team of around 50 colleagues, including 5 direct reports, coaching and supporting them to develop their skills
  • Take full accountability for the production of our UK coffins, ensuring every product meets our high-quality standards
  • Drive performance across output, waste and efficiency, and helping the site evolve over time
  • Create a safe, well‑run environment where everyone understands and follows their health and safety responsibilities
  • Work closely with internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding in the lead up to the launch of the new site
  • Help shape a culture built on care, collaboration and continuous improvement

What you’ll bring

  • Experience within a production or manufacturing industry
  • Previous experience managing teams of 30+ indirect and direct reports
  • Strong people, leadership and coaching skills
  • A commercial mindset and confidence working to targets
  • High attention to detail and a passion for quality
  • Knowledge and experience working with unions would be beneficial
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, problem‑solving approach and confidence to make informed decisions
  • The ability to work with Microsoft Office packages
  • A full UK drivers licence, this would be beneficial
