Job Title:Â SEND Support Worker
Area:Â Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Contract Type:Â Full-time, Permanent
Daily Rate: £500 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, Term time

About the Role:
As a SEND Support Worker, you’ll provide hands-on, personalised support to students whose needs require a little more – more patience, more creativity, more consistency. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families, you’ll help remove the barriers that stand between a young person and their potential. It’s challenging, meaningful work – and no two days will ever be the same.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting young people with complex SEND needs – in a school, care, or specialist setting
- Confidence working with students with PMLD, SLD, ASD, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments
- A warm, person-centred approach with genuine commitment to student wellbeing Ability to follow detailed support and care plans accurately and consistently
- Any experience of BSL, AAC, Makaton, or other communication approaches is a strong advantage
- CACHE, NVQ, or relevant health and social care qualification desirable
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate already on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional references from child-related roles
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
