Support Worker
Location – Stockport (SK8)
Pay – £95-£110 per day, depending on experience
Start Date – 03/09/2026
Contract – Temp to Perm
Are you a kind and compassionate support worker, seeking a new role?? We are currently working with a large SEN provision in Stockport to recruit support workers to join their team from September, on a temp to perm basis.
The school is a specialist college, that supports pupils aged between 19-25, with complex needs.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing both sensory and emotional support
- Maintain regular communication with parents, staff and external agencies (where necessary) to monitor progress and development
- Prepare fun and engaging learning resources
What we are looking for:
- Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but trainigng can be provided)
- Any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs
- Team Teach training is desired but trainng can be provided
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
