Are you a recent graduate of Maths looking for work in education?

We are working exclusively with a large Secondary school in Manchester, who are looking for a recent Maths graduate, who may be looking to pursue a career in education or wishing to embark on a PGCE in the next year or 2 to work in the Maths department as a tutor and teaching assistant. The role will start as soon as possible and will continue for the rest of the current academic year.

You will be responsible for supporting small groups of pupils within the Maths department, working with key stage 3 & 4 students, you will also have a small timetable (these are called intervention groups) where you will provide intensive support to small groups of learners. You will formulate a superb understanding of the curriculum at KS3 & 4 Maths. , which will bode well for their future studies. You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a strong, highly recognised leadership team.

Hours – 8:30am – 4 pm Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree educated with a good classification, in Maths, or Maths related subject
High grade in Maths at GCSE level
A level in Maths or further maths
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) desirable but not essential
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, we can provide the training)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS that is registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide professional references to cover the last 2 years
