This is a unique opportunity to join one of the largest light rail networks outside London, playing a key role in planning and coordinating timetables, managing crowd and event-related demand, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of Metrolink services across Greater Manchester. You’ll work at the heart of operations, ensuring the network has the capacity, resilience, and responsiveness needed to meet customer needs particularly during high-profile events and periods of increased demand.
Your Role
You will play a key role in reviewing and planning events and timetables across the Metrolink network, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure services are effectively planned and delivered. Working closely with the operator, you’ll help ensure sufficient operational capacity is in place to meet demand both during high-profile events and across day-to-day service delivery.
We’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, using their insight to continuously improve service performance and enhance the customer experience.
In this role, you’ll have a direct and visible impact on the service we deliver, helping to shape how the network responds to changing demand and operational challenges.
You can find out more information via the role profile attached.
What you’ll bring
You will be required to have experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders, contract management experience to deliver high standards of service performance, be able to write reports succinctly and to time, be able to manage and analyse complex data to improve performance, have the ability to work under own initiative to deliver a wide portfolio of objectives and extensive experience of building and maintaining productive joint working relationships.
What you do and how you do it is important whatever type of role you work in at TfGM and even small behaviours and actions can have a really big impact. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt.
If you are excited by the opportunity to use your skills to influence the success of Metrolink across GM we would really like to hear from you!
What we can offer you
