We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Lecturer In Film, Television or Screen Media Studies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of broad-based core modules on our undergraduate and postgraduate film studies curriculum, working alongside a team of film studies, screen media and theatre and performance scholars, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering lectures and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students on core modules of the film studies programmes
- Contributing to the teaching of specialist film and screen media studies modules as appropriate to your expertise
- Providing student feedback, assessment and academic advising as part of your teaching responsibilities
- Supervising undergraduate and MA dissertations, as agreed with the head of department
About You

Essential Criteria:
- A completed PhD in a relevant subject area
- A proven ability to provide high-quality undergraduate teaching and dissertation supervision
- A proven ability to manage all aspects of course administration, including setting and marking assessed work
- A proven ability to engage empathetically with students
Desirable Criteria:
- Some experience in MA teaching and dissertation supervision
- Some experience in course unit, programme or curriculum design
- Associate Fellow of Advance HE or above
